The book contains a list of ancient works known and unknown. It draws materials from different sources ranging from mathematical and astronomical works to ayurveda, veda, darsana, chandas, pancaratras and other authorities. It gives an adequate idea of the greatness of spiritual culture of India showing the progress the country had made in ancient days in every sphere of human activity. The text is collated from five manuscripts. The editor has prefixed a detailed summary of the work in seventy two pages.
