Pani Ghatta; Starting from the harsh social reality of gender discrimination, the novel Panighatta is an interesting love story between Junmaya, a Brahmin girl and Rana Bahadur, a Brahmin girl who grew up with the anti-Gurung culture and Lahure tradition. In this sense, Panighatta itself is a witness to social value transformation and cultural integration. In the rural society of the Gandaki region of the thirties and forties, the novels depicting the havoc faced by a woman before and after marriage in the pictorial depiction of ‘Pani’ and ‘Ghatta’ have become readable due to the sweet use of spoken language and fragrant movement of regional terminology.
