This book is a translated version of the book written by Rana Bahadur Shah in Newari Language. This book is actually a humble effort to present the hymn by King Rana Bahadur Shah and the folksong about his queen both in Newari language. The translator has given the original text in Newari script followed by a transliteration, a word for word translation and a free rendering in English. This book reflects the different aspects and different features of Nepal especially of Kathmandu Valley. Here it is mentioned about many festivals celebrated by Newars of Kathmandu valley and their origin and existence in the society. This book also mentions about the different religions followed in Nepal and also about the Buddhism in Nepal. Thus, this book is a very interesting and informative book to read.
