Beas Bad Day

Bea’s Bad Day is a Big Bright Feelings picture book about Bea, who has been counting down to what she’s sure will be the perfect birthday—presents, cake, cousins, and a big family party. When heavy snow blocks the roads, the postman can’t deliver cards and gifts, her relatives can’t travel, and even the party food and cake are in doubt, Bea’s special day starts to crack and everything feels ruined. With the support of her family—and some improvised fun like sledging and a messy but joyful cake—Bea slowly learns to manage disappointment, find new ways to celebrate, and see that a “bad day” can still hold good moments.
