The Art of War

The Art of War is an ancient Chinese military treatise dating from the 5th century BC and is attributed to the ancient Chinese military strategist Sun Tzu (Master Sun, also spelled Sunzi). The Art of Was has been applied to many fields even outside of the military. Much of the text is about how to fight wars without actually having to do battle: it gives tips on hou to outsmart one's opponent so that physical battle is not necessary. As such it has found application as a training guide for many competitive endeavors that do not involve actual war on combat. Many business books have applied the lessons taken from the book to office politics and corporate strategy. Many Multinational Corporations make the book required reading for their key executives. The book is also popular among Western business circles citing its utilitarian value regarding management practices. many businessmen, entrepreneurs and executives have turned to it for advice and inspiration on how to succeed to in competitive business situations. The book has also been applied to the field of learning and education.
