In this novel, the author has shown the struggle, pain and the sorrow of the women of Terai specially in Mid Terai. The book shows how the women have to suffer in this male dominated society. The author even mentions about the hardships and difficulties the girls and women of Terai have to face. Through the main character the author has explained how most of the girls have to suppress their wishes and dreams for the sake of their families and the society. This book has also included the facts that most of the women and girls of poor family in villages have to get sold in the hands of rich men. The author has described about such things which the women have to suffer every day and night. This book not only describes about the pain and sorrow of the women of Terai but also reflects other social problems regarding women who are dominated by men.
